My heart is heavy. I'm thinking it will be for a long time. This coming Saturday marks a year since we lost our son. I'm finding comfort in looking at old photos and enjoying his precious smile.

I remembered it was coming up. It just doesn't seem possible, you know? He is so vibrant and joyful and alive in those photos. Just feels wrong that he isn't still here being all of those things. I am SO SORRY you have been called to bear this- I wish you didn't have to. May God grant you the opportunity to FEEL him with you at this time. I just wish things were different for Porter and your family.

I've been pretty teary-eyed myself knowing that March 5 was approaching. How are you doing my sweet friend? It is a testimony of him and his character that so many people still love and remember Porter. We think of him often, especially the past week or so. Love you. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.
One year is a long time. Especially when you've been without Porter. I know he would be SO proud of you. You have touched many hearts with your testimony. I know personally that my testimony of His plan was strengthened, because of you. Because of Porter.
